Here’s a quick list of a few ideas for holiday gifts that will keep you prepped & prepared.

First Aid Kit

A good gift to give anyone to use anywhere. Few people think of keeping a first aid kit handy in their car, thinking back I bet there was a time you wished you had one. It’s also a handy, portable medicine chest for a any college student or someone getting their first apartment, and anyone with particular medical issues to have on hand. Here’s an idea of a ready-made one to give you an idea of content. But I highly recommend putting together your own not only for quality purposes but to fit it to the specific need of the person you gift it to.

Compact tool kit

I can’t stress enough how great this is to have on hand. I use mine all the time. It’s another gift that’s great for college students and first-apartment friends or someone just starting to use tools. It makes a great housewarming gift. Here’s one that will give you an idea of what to look for.

Spork

What is a spork? It’s a spoon/fork in one. It’s a must for campers, hikers, to take on picnics, and for general use as well. I have several. Perfect stocking stuffer. You can find all kinds on Amazon or sporting goods stores.

Portable radio

You might think portable radios are things of the past and what use would you have for one, but if you suddenly are without power that old-fashioned radio will provide you with the way to get the information you need. Here’s a few to give you some ideas.

Compact sewing kit

Don’t know how to sew, it doesn’t matter. Get a small plastic or tin case and fill it with different size safety pins, small spools of black and white thread, a sewing needle and a small pair of scissors. It’s great to keep in your car or purse. I can’t tell you how many times someone has had to use mine. Don’t want to do-it-yourself, you can find a compact sewing kit here.

Multi-pocket vest

These are great when out for a walk or out for the day. Wallet, glasses, keys, and more will fit easily in the multi-pockets. It’s great for a woman who doesn’t want to carry a purse all day. You can find different ones at Magellan’s or any sporting goods store.

Paracord bracelet

A must for preppers, campers, hikers, great outdoor lovers. Have a look at them at Amazon. Great stocking stuffer.

Flashlights

Large or small you can use them all. I know you’re probably thinking I have one on my phone, or my phone is bright enough to light my way, but what if your phone goes dead or you forget it. There are key chain flashlights, small flashlights to tuck in your purse or pocket and don’t forget to keep one in your nightstand, your desk, and your backpack. You just never know when you or someone else might need it.
